A: Niacinamide and arbutin mainly inhibit tyrosinase to reduce melanin production, while tranexamic acid blocks melanin transferring to keratinocytes. Q2: Does tranexamic acid affect formula pH value? How to match the formula system reasonably?

A: Tranexamic acid aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, which will slightly increase the pH of water-based formula. We suggest adjusting the final formula pH to 5.5-7.5 to keep the whole system stable, and avoid long-term compounding with strong acidic raw materials.
