Vinyl Trimethoxysilane-CAS 2768-02-7
Vinyl Trimethoxysilane is a high-activity bifunctional silane coupling agent, belonging to the core vinyl-series organosilicon modifier. Its molecular structure contains both organic vinyl reactive group and inorganic methoxy hydrolyzable group, forming a unique organic-inorganic dual-modification mechanism.
The methoxy group can hydrolyze in a weak acid environment to generate silanol active groups, which stably bond with hydroxyl groups on the surface of inorganic fillers, glass fibers, and metal substrates; the terminal vinyl group can undergo copolymerization and crosslinking reactions with polymer molecular chains such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and rubber.
It perfectly solves the problem of poor interfacial bonding and easy delamination between inorganic fillers and organic polymers. The product features fast hydrolysis reaction, high crosslinking efficiency, low volatility and excellent weather resistance. It can significantly improve the mechanical strength, tensile toughness, water resistance and aging resistance of composite materials.
As a classic universal silane coupling agent, it is widely used in cable cross-linking, plastic modification, glass fiber reinforcement, coating adhesion enhancement and waterproof material industry, and is a necessary high-efficiency auxiliary raw material for polymer composite material upgrading.
